Some of their menus healthier choices for soups and salads include butternut squash soup, California beet salad, Kale and Romaine Caesar salad, and a field green salads. Dinner salad choices include grilled salmon and a Maui tuna crunch salad. Entree options are a full selection of seafood with tuna, salmon, trout, and others. Other entrees such as butternut ricotta and gnocchi are available. Various greens are served as side dishes as well.
Located in Radnor the Harvest Grille specializes in fresh farm to table dining. Their flatbreads offer a low-calorie harvest flatbread and salad offerings include a harvest, Greek, or seasonally themed salad. Appetizers include three bean turkey chili, Vegan Kung Pao Cauliflower “Wings”, hummus, and other vegetable dishes. Healthy entree salads offered are a grilled chicken Brussels Caesar salad and grilled salmon salad. Healthy entree choices are a root vegetable bowl, an acorn squash bowl, harvest moon chicken, and several vegan choices (tofu stir fry, eggplant ‘parmesan’, and a cauliflower steak). Vegetable sides are served and many of the above-noted dishes have gluten-free options upon request.
Fast food may have the worst reputation of all takeout options. Bryn+Danes has several locations around the greater Philadelphia area and offers far healthier options than standard fast-food fare. They offer a full smoothie menu with several fresh berries and yogourt smoothies. Steel cut oats with various toppings are served for breakfast. Breakfast wraps include standards breakfast offerings but choices such as a banana wrap and a strawberry, blueberry, and banana wrap offer you a healthier choice. Various bowels are served with acai, pitaya, and green bases to choose from. Lunch wraps include a grilled chicken wrap and a black bean burger wrap. Salads choices such as kale, green, and apple are served. A kids menu is also offered.
Located in Bryn Mawr the Enoteca focuses on Italian and other classic Mediterranean dishes served in a comfortable and relaxing restaurant. Their menu offers many lighter dishes and vegetarian dishes. They have several small vegetable plates such as broccoli and avocado, roasted cauliflower, and other vegetable sides. Healthier entrees include vegetable and salmon flatbreads, and Caesar, Beet, Greek, and Verde salads. Chicken dishes are also available but watch the toppings if you’re focused on fat content or trying to count calories. They also have a beer menu and a full wine bar with several different wines from around the world.
